Day by day
Day 1: Malé — Gateway to the Atolls
Malé
Morning: Arrive at Velana International Airport and transfer to your yacht at Malé Marina. Welcome briefing with the dive team.
Afternoon: Cruise to a nearby reef for a check dive and orientation. The house reef of many Maldivian islands offers incredible snorkelling from the yacht.
Evening: Dinner aboard as the yacht begins its journey south. Watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean.
Day 2: South Malé Atoll — Channel Diving
Malé → South Malé Atoll · 20 nm
Morning: Dive Guraidhoo Corner, one of the Maldives' premier dive sites — grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and Napoleon wrasse in the channel current.
Afternoon: Snorkel the pristine house reef of an uninhabited island. Enjoy a beach picnic on a private sandbank.
Evening: Night dive to see the reef transform — hunting moray eels, sleeping parrotfish, and bioluminescent plankton.
Day 3: Vaavu Atoll — Shark Alley
South Malé Atoll → Vaavu Atoll · 35 nm
Morning: Cruise to Vaavu Atoll and dive Fotteyo Kandu, widely considered the best channel dive in the Maldives — overhangs, caves, and massive schools of fish.
Afternoon: Dive or snorkel at Alimathaa Jetty for a manta ray encounter — mantas come to feed on plankton attracted by the jetty lights.
Evening: Dinner aboard anchored in the atoll. The bioluminescent plankton in Vaavu creates a magical blue glow in the water.
Day 4: South Ari Atoll — Whale Sharks
Vaavu Atoll → South Ari Atoll · 40 nm
Morning: Cruise to South Ari Atoll, the best place in the world to swim with whale sharks. These gentle giants are resident year-round.
Afternoon: Snorkel with whale sharks — the largest fish in the ocean, reaching up to 12 metres. Multiple encounters are common. Dive Maamigili Beyru for reef sharks and turtles.
Evening: Anchor near an uninhabited island and enjoy a beach barbecue under the stars.
Day 5: Meemu Atoll — Untouched Reefs
South Ari Atoll → Meemu Atoll · 45 nm
Morning: Cruise to Meemu Atoll, one of the least-visited atolls in the Maldives. The reefs here are pristine and virtually undived.
Afternoon: Explore the untouched reefs — hard coral gardens, manta cleaning stations, and schools of fusiliers. Visit a local island to experience authentic Maldivian life.
Evening: Dinner aboard featuring Maldivian cuisine — mas huni, garudhiya (fish broth), and roshi.
Day 6: Return North — Manta Encounters
Meemu Atoll → South Ari Atoll · 45 nm
Morning: Begin the return journey north. Stop at Rangali Madivaru for manta ray snorkelling — up to 50 mantas can gather at this cleaning station.
Afternoon: Final dive at Maaya Thila, one of the Maldives' most famous dive sites — a submerged pinnacle teeming with white-tip reef sharks, moray eels, and octopus.
Evening: Farewell dinner aboard with a Maldivian cultural performance — bodu beru drumming and traditional dance.
Day 7: Return to Malé
South Ari Atoll → Malé · 50 nm
Morning: Final morning snorkel at a pristine reef. Cruise back to Malé, reviewing underwater photos and videos.
Afternoon: Arrive at Malé Marina. Disembark and transfer to the airport or your resort.
Evening: Or extend your stay at one of the Maldives' legendary resorts — Soneva Fushi, One&Only Reethi Rah, or Cheval Blanc Randheli.
