Weekly charter rates typically range from €30,000 for a 24m yacht to over €1,000,000 for a 100m+ superyacht. The rate covers the yacht, crew, and insurance. Additional costs include fuel, food, beverages, marina fees, and gratuity — collectively known as the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance), usually 25–35% of the charter fee.

A crewed charter includes the yacht, a professional captain and crew (typically 1 crew per 2 guests), all onboard amenities, water toys, insurance, and use of tenders. The APA covers running costs such as fuel, provisioning, port fees, and communications. Crew gratuity is customary at 10–20% of the charter fee.

For peak season (July–August in the Mediterranean, December–April in the Caribbean), we recommend booking 6–12 months in advance. Popular yachts and event charters (Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Film Festival) often book 12–18 months ahead. Last-minute availability does exist, but choice is limited.

The MYBA (Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) charter contract is the industry-standard agreement used worldwide for yacht charters. It clearly defines the rights and obligations of both the charterer and the yacht owner, covering payment terms, cancellation policies, insurance, and dispute resolution.
